The death of William A. Dice occurred at the Lutheran hospital at Des Moines, Thursday morning, October 16, 1930, following an illness of several weeks of acute disease. His death came as a severe shock to the entire community.
The deceased was born at Creston, on May 13, 1861, being at the time of death 69 years, 5 months, and 3 days.
He was married to Alice Quigley, who passed away in the year 1910. He spent the greater share of his life in Nebraska, but in his declining years he came to Iowa to live with his son, Frank.
He is survived by six children: Fred C., of North Platte, Nebraska; Frank L. of Greenfield; William D., of Silver Creek, Nebraska; Hazel Jean Foreman, of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Orville Osborne, of Effingham, Illinois; Mrs. M. V. Cook, of Des Moines, and also seven grandchildren. The burial was at Winterset.
