Former Local Resident Died at Age of 83 Years
Mrs. Nora T. Breeding, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Thursday, March 19, at Des Moines. She was 83 years of age.
Mrs. Breeding was born at Leighton, in Mahaska county on May 21, 1875, a daughter of Flemming and Harriett Newman Worley. She was married Feb. 26, 1902, to George Breeding. They were parents of seven sons and three daughters. Her husband and two of the sons preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Winterset Baptist church.
Surviving are five sons, Wesley, Luther, Paul and George Breeding all of Des Moines and Wayne Breeding of St. Paul, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. J. L. Lorenz of Des Moines, Mrs. Elmer Mapes of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Ruby Macdonald of Omaha; a brother, Roy Worley of Winterset; a sister, Mrs. Newton Sankey of Winterset; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Richards Funeral home Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Robert Damon, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
