Jacob Hyskell

Died - At his residence in Winterset on Fri. April 15, 1886, Jacob Hyskell aged 75 years 5 mo. and 25 da. Funeral services occurred at the M. E. Church April 18th at 11 a.m.

Jacob Hyskill was born in Huntington county, Pa., Oct. 20, 1810, and was converted and joined the M E Church at the age of ten years. He was a consistent member there for thirty-five years, and then removed with his family to Madison county, Iowa, in 1856, and gave his letter to the Church and went to work. He died April 16, 1886. He was class leader, exhorter or steward for more than fifty years, and part of the time all three. He was loved and honored by nearly every one.
