SIRDOREUS SERVICES HELD HERE SATURDAY

Fred Sirdoreus of Winterset died here Tuesday, Jan. 6. His death occurred on his seventy-ninth birthday.

Mr. Sirdoreus was born at Fairfield on Jan. 6, 1880, a son of Jacob and Collista Sirdoreus. He was married in 1909, at Big Creek, in Texas county, Missouri, to Nora Westerman. They were the parents of 12 children, five of whom preceded the father in death.

Surviving are his wife; seven children, Mrs. Edna Garrison, Mrs. Hazel Alcorn, Roscoe Sirdoreus, Homer Sidoreus, Fred Sirdoreus, Jr., and L. D. Sirdoreus, all of Winterset; and Harold Sirdoreus of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Sirdoreus of Enice, Mo., and Ottis Sirdoreus of Prole; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Garrison of Indiana, Mrs. Anna Smith of Yale, and Mrs. Cora Fox of Jamaica; and 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Richard Mohr of the Grace Baptist church and the Rev. Leroy Bussinger of the Four Square church. Burial was made in the Penn Center cemetery.

Former Dexter Man Passes Away

Fred Sirdoreus of Winterset passed away Tuesday, January 6 at the exact age of seventy-nine years. Mr. Sirdoreus was born at Fairfield, later spending many years of his life on farms south of Dexter. His last rites were held at the Richards Funeral Home in Winterset with Rev. Richard Mohr and Rev. LeRoy Bussinger officiating. Interment was in the Penn Center cemetery.

Frantz Lenocker, John Baldwin, Harry Switzer, and Fred Morford Jr. of Dexter were among the casket bearers.
