ELMER E. RHODES DIES IN FLORIDA

Elmer E. Rhodes, formerly of Winterset, died Saturday, Jan. 10, in St. Petersburg, Fla., at the age of 79 years.

Mr. Rhodes was a son of W. C. and Mary E. Rhodes. He was married to Agnes Reiger. They were parents of three children, Estel and Gladys of Detroit, Mich., and Ronald, who is with the U.S. navy in Hawaii. Besides his immediate family he leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers, Earl Rhodes of Ashville, N. C., Paul Rhodes of Adel, William R. Rhodes of Omaha and Jess R. Rhodes of Waverly; and four sisters, Mrs. Bess Linge of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Hattie Strong, Pearl Cline and Etta Bishop of Winterset.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday at St. Petersburg.
