Ora Miller Death Occurs at University Hospital at Age of 74 years
Ora Miller, St. Charles resident, died at the University hospitals in Iowa City, Friday, January 2, at the age of 74 years. Mr. Miller spent most of his life in Madison and Warren counties. He was a blacksmith in St. Charles and St. Marys during his younger years and later he farmed, until ill health forced him to retire.
A son of Jacob and Elizabeth Miller, he was born on their farm in Warren county, July 30, 1884. He was married to Nora Maggie McDaniels, October 14, 1903, and they were the parents of two children, one of whom, Velva Irene, an infant daughter preceded him in death.
He is survived by his widow, Maggie, two brothers, Lous and Charles Miller of St. Charles, and a son Clair Miller of Pratt, Kansas. He also leaves six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
