William Stephen Allcox died at his home west of St. Charles, March 12, 1923, after an illness of one week with pneumonia, at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Mr. Allcox was born and raised in Madison county. He was the father of 11 children, of whom all survive, except one who died in infancy. They are as follows: Henry, Curt and Roy of St. Charles; Warren of Lathrop, Mo., Albert of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. Emma Patterson of Des Moines; Mrs. Venice Archer of Ackley, Minn.; Mrs. Margaret O'Donnell of Storm Lake, Mrs. Lula Neal of Winterset and Mrs. Jennie Hall of Truro.
His wife preceded him in death Feb. 11, 1913.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon and the remains laid to rest in the Sayre cemetery.

William Stephen Allcox died on March 12th after one week's illness with pneumonia. Mr. Allcox, who was nearly 74 years old was born in Madison county and lived near St. Charles. Ten children survive their father. Funeral services were held in St. Charles at the Allcox home. A March 14th burial being in the Sayre cemetery.
