CAMERON R. GODBY DIES NEAR PERU

90-Year-Old Man Made Home With Daughter, Mrs. Dave Abbott

Cameron R. Godby, who had been making his home recently with his daughter, Mrs. Dave Abbott of near Peru, died last Friday. Had he lived one more day he would have been 90 years of age.

Mr. Godby was born on a farm near New Sharon on March 2, 1856, the son of Allen and Elizabeth Godby. He was the last surviving member of a family of 10 children.

He was married March 22, 1876 to Phoebe Fisher. They were the parents of six children, two of whom preceded him in death.

He had lived at Beresford, S. Dak., and Holly, Colo., and in later years at Clarinda, Ia.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Abbott of Peru, Mrs. Lula Randall of Armington, Mont., Mrs. Walt Hutchinson of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Harold Hoskins of Bolckow, Mo.; in addition to 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Peru Methodist church in charge of the Rev. F. B. Harris.
