RUBY CAMPFIELD DIED LAST FRIDAY

Resident of Madison County Since 1920 Was 68 Years Old

Mrs. Ruby Campfield, a resident of Madison county since 1920, died last Friday at her home in Winterset at the age of 68 years.

Mrs. Campfield was the former Ruby Ann Bailey, daughter of Isaac and Ella Bailey, and was born July 4, 1878, near Fontanelle in Adair county.

She was married at Fontanelle on Feb. 25, 1895, to Henry Campfield. They came to Madison county in 1920 and had lived here since that time. Mr. Campfield preceded her in death.

Mrs. Campfield had joined the Christian church at Fontanelle at an early age.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Wearmouth of Lorimor, Mrs. Tressa Tracy and Mrs. Etta Osborn, both of Winterset; her son, James H. Campfield of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, I. P. Bailey of Fontanelle and James Bailey of Higgins, Tex.; and a sister, Mrs. Etta Light of Long Beach, Calif.

Funeral services were held here Monday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Wilbur Watkins, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery near Winterset.
