Lived at Truro for 25 Years Before Moving to Idaho
Mrs. Cynthia Bruner, a resident of Truro and surrounding community for 25 years, died Jan. 1 at the age of 82 years, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Poindexter of Rupert, Ida.
Mrs. Bruner, the former Cynthia R. Gillespie, daughter of Theopheusius and Eveline Gillespie, was born at Woodbine, Ala., April 16, 1863. She was the youngest of eight children and the five brothers and two sisters have preceded her in death.
She was married to Thaddeus A. Bruner at Independence, Kan., Oct. 17, 1888. They were the parents of three daughters, one of whom died in infancy. Her husband died seven years ago. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Poindexter of Idaho, and Mrs. Mabell Holden of Des Moines. She also leaves five grandchildren, four nephews, and two nieces.
Funeral services were held from the Kale funeral home in Truro, Jan. 5, by the Rev. Frederick Cooper, and burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
Those coming from a distance to attend the funeral were Mrs. William Poindexter and son Gerald of Rupert, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Davis and son, Mr. and Mrs. Clee Shutt and son, Mrs. E. D. Lowther and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Holden and daughter, Cynthia, all of Des Moines, and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gensen, of Oskaloosa.
