Long-Time Resident of There Succumbs at Age of 78 Years
Edward J. Sinn, a resident of the Truro community since 1877, died at his home Oct. 25 at the age of 78 years.
Mr. Sinn was born near Fairfield, in Jefferson county, Sept. 23, 1868, the son of John J. and Rachel Sinn. He came with his parents to Clarke county in 1877, and the remainder of his life was spent in and around Truro.
He was married March 20, 1895 to Ida Bell Monical. They were the parents of eight children. They are: Mrs. Carrie Muselman of Osceola, Mrs. Blanche Yale of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Grace Conn, Mrs. Nola Hutchson, Mrs. Bernice Sullivan, Mrs. Audry Conn, and Russell Sinn, all of Des Moines, and Myron Sinn of Nevada, Mo.
He also leaves nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four brothers, William, George and Ben Sinn, all of Truro, and Fred Sinn of Martensdale; and two sisters, Mrs. Ella DeLong of Canada and Mrs. Erma Gracy of Jefferson.
Funeral services were held Oct. 27 from the Yale Funeral home at Truro, in charge of the Rev. Willy, pastor of the Christian church.
