FRANK BLACK WAS LIFE-LONG RESIDENT

Death Occurred Nov. 16 Near Farm on Which He was Born

Frank Black, life-long resident of near St. Charles whose death was reported in the Madisonian last week, was a son of George and Sarah Black, and was born May 19, 1871, on a farm across the road from the place where his death occurred Nov. 16.

He was married Jan. 27, 1896, to Sue B. Small. They were the parents of three children. The wife and mother died in 1909.

In addition to the three children, George Black, Yvetta Black and Mrs. Coreene Pahre, he leaves two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two sisters.

The Rev. Tom Foglesong of Des Moines, formerly pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ, conducted the funeral services, which were held Nov. 18 from the St. Charles Methodist church.

(Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery)
