HARRY SHOULTS DIED ON THURSDAY

Long-Time Resident at Van Meter; Was 69 Years of Age

Harry Shoults, who lived practically all his life in and around Van Meter, died last Thursday at Des Moines, where he had been living the last four years. He was 69 years of age.

William Harrison Shoults was born in Madison county Dec. 12, 1876, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Shoults. He was married Oct. 12, 1898, to Carrie Pierce. They were the parents of two daughters, one of whom, Mrs. Hazel Brown, died in 1935.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mildred; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Driscoll of Des Moines, and Mrs. Grace Marquardt of Van Meter.

Funeral services were held from the U. B. church at Van Meter Sunday, in charge of the Rev. E. A. Elliott of Des Moines and the Rev. William Suckow of Van Meter. Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.
