MILDRED BARTON DIED LAST WEEK

Lived Entire Life, Except for 10 Years, in Winterset

Mildred Barton, a native of Winterset, died Wednesday of last week at the state hospital in Iowa City following a major operation. She was 51 years of age.

Miss Barton was the eldest daughter of William and Anna Smith Barton, and was born in Winterset Sept. 21, 1895, with the exception of 10 years in Des Moines, her entire life was spent in this community.

She is survived by a brother, Howell Barton of Maquoketa. Her parents, and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Hopkins, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held last Friday from Anderson's home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. G. L. Hufstader, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
