GRANT DUNN DIED HERE SATURDAY

Funeral Services Were Held Monday for Long-Time Resident Here

Grant Dunn, a well-known resident of Winterset for many years, died at his home here Saturday night after an illness of 10 months. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Dunn was a native of Mercer county, Missouri, where he was born Aug. 5, 1868, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dunn. Most of his life was spent in Madison county.

He was married Oct. 6, 1890, to Samantha E. Trester, who survives him. He was a member of the Fellowship church and was interested and active in community affairs.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Robert C. Dunn of Winterset, and Leo A. Dunn of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Della Yaunk of Peoria, Ill.; five grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services were conducted Monday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis, with Harley Crawford of Indianola as soloist. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
