W. A. MCCLEEARY DIED MONDAY

Death Occurs at 95 Years For One of County’s Oldest Residents

William A. McCleeary, a life-long resident of Madison county, died at Memorial hospital in Winterset, Monday, Oct 20. He was 95 years of age.

Mr. McCleeary was born on a farm in Jefferson township on Dec 14, 1862, a son of William and Mary Jane Valentine McCleeary. He was the last surviving member of a family of eight children.

Most of his active life was spent in farming north of Winterset.

As a young man he was married to the former Ida Golden, who preceded him in death. They had no children.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Richard Funeral Home.
