Mrs. Zeller was the widow of E. R. Zeller, former editor and publisher of the Madisonian and superintendent of schools in Winterset, and Madison county. Her husband died in 1935.

She held membership in Current Topic club for more than half a century, and was a charter member of the Woman’s Relief corps.
