Funeral services were held for Marion Wright at the Fairview church Wednesday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. C. A. Crouse was in charge of services. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery. Before the Fairview services there was a brief prayer service at the Fisher Funeral home at Van Meter.
MARION W. WRIGHT
Marion W. Wright, eldest son of George and Mary Farnham Wright, was born near Ross, Audubon county September 20, 1885 and departed this life at the Winterset Memorial hospital April 20, 1952.
He suffered a stroke about a year ago, from which he never fully recovered.
He was married to Blanche Wynkoop February 26, 1913. to this union was born two sons, George, the eldest, after a brief illness passed away December 12, 1929 being but fourteen years of age, Arthur the younger survives and he with his wife has been faithfulness itself in his father’s last illness.
Marion was converted and united with the Methodist church at Fairview in 1903 under the pastorate of Rev. George Ladd.
Marion was a good neighbor, a good citizen and esteemed by all who knew him, always ready to extend a helping hand to any one in need.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his faithful wife, his son, Arthur and his wife Helen and a little granddaughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Marion W. Wright, a resident of Jefferson township for nearly all his life, died at the Memorial hospital in Winterset Sunday after six days as a patient there. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. Wright was a native of Audubon county, where he was born in 1885, but came to Jefferson township in early life. He is survived by his wife; a son, Arthur of Winterset; and a brother, Clarence of Jefferson township.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Fairview church, in charge of the Rev. C. A. Crouse. Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery.
