Had Been resident of Dallas and Madison Counties all of Life
Cyrus B. McDonald, life-long resident of Dallas and Madison counties, died at his home near DeSoto, Saturday Nov. 8, at the age of 72 years.
Mr. McDonald was born at Winterset Dec. 27, 1879. sixty six years of his life were spent in Madison county and six years in Dallas county. He was a son of Joseph F. and Teresa McAllister McDonald.
He was married June 1, 1933 to Geraldine Clark. They were parents of three daughters, Teresa, Delpha and Nancy and four sons, Cyrus Jr, Frank, Dennis and Joseph.
Mr. McDonald had joined the West Star Methodist church in early youth.
In addition to his wife and the seven children, he leaves three sisters, Ella and Lily McDonald, and Mrs. Elmer Helm; and a brother, Frank McDonald.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Floyd Newbrough and the Rev. Glenn Parrott. Burial was made in the West McDonald cemetery.
