Winterset, IowaERNEST B. HIATT DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Ernest B. Hiatt, former Madison county engineer, died in a sanatarium near Glendale, Calif., on Aug. 18, according to word received here this week.
Mr. Hiatt was 72 years of age at the time of his death. He was a native of Madison county, having been born near Truro, and lived all his life here until moving to California about 20 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Spencer of this community; and two sons, Capt. Spencer Hiatt, U. S. Army Air Forces, now stationed in the Philippines, and Maj. William Hiatt, who was recently discharged after several years in the Army Air Forces.
