Winterset, IowaROY NEAL DIED LAST WEEK IN MINNESOTA
Former Resident of This County Had Been Ill Many Years
Roy Neal, a former Madison county resident, died last Thursday at Sleepy Eye, Minn., where he had lived in recent years. He was 55 years old, and had been in ill health for 13 years.
Mr. Neal was born near Winterset on March 7, 1891, the son of Robert and Octavia Neal. He was married Nov. 22, 1911, to Olive Severns, at Patterson. In 1916 they moved to Fairfax, Minn., where they spent three years. In 1919, they moved to Sleepy Eye, which had since been their home.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Robert Neal of Jackson, Minn., Wayne Neal of Sleepy Eye, Orville Neal of the U. S. navy, and Darwin Neal at home. He also leaves two grandsons; three brothers, Frank, Lee, and Harry Neal, all of Winterset; and a sister, Mrs. Wanda Strable of Martensdale.
Funeral services were held Sunday from his home and at the Methodist church at Sleepy Eye, and burial was made in the cemetery there.
