H. N. Lee, former Macksburg resident, died at his home in Los Angeles, Calif., Thursday, Oct. 24, at the age of 59 years, after an extended illness. Ned Lee, as he was familiarly known here, was born and raised in Macksburg, and was married to Miss Anna Kirkland of that community. In 1906, they moved to Pueblo, Colo., where they made their home, until 18 months ago, when they moved to Los Angeles.
He had been ill since January. He is survived by his wife, and their one daughter, Mrs. Evalyn Buchanan, also of Los Angeles. He also leaves three sisters, and a brother: Mrs. Charles Rowe of Winterset, Mrs. J. C. Rugg and Miss Grace Lee of Pueblo, and Bert Lee of Los Angeles.
Funeral services were held in Los Angeles, Monday, Oct. 28, and he was buried in the Forest Lawn cemetery there.
