LUCIAN LEONARD, 46, DIES IN CALFORNIA

Former Winterset Resident Stricken by Heart Attack

Lucian P. Leonard, former resident of Winterset, died last Saturday at Los Angeles, Calif., while driving a bus for the Los Angeles Railway company. He was stricken with a heart attack.

Mr. Leonard was 46 years old, and left Winterset about 15 years ago. He had lived in California the past 13 years.

Mr. Leonard was a native of Cass county, Iowa, and came to Madison county as a young man.

He is survived by his wife and two small children, Linda and Frances, of Fontona, Calif.; four children by a former marriage, Lucian Ray Leonard of Waukee, Mrs. Ruby Parker of Carnation, Wash., Mrs. Lorraine Brittain of Winterset, and Harry (Fred) Leonard, S1/c, U.S. navy, now in San Francisco. He also leaves four sisters.

Funeral services were to be held at Los Angeles, and burial was to be made in Rosehill cemetery at El Monte.
