MISS LUCY YOUNG DIES

Miss Lucy Young, a former Winterset resident, died at her home in Chicago, Ill., last Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Miss Young was the daughter of Myles and Gertrude Young. She was born April 22, 1874, at Peru, Ill. When a small girl she moved with her parents to Winterset, where she attended the Winterset schools. Upon completing her high school education, she moved to Chicago where she had since made her home. Her nearest surviving relatives are her nephews, Blair and Myles Young, and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Clara Young. She also leaves other nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held in Chicago Saturday. Following cremation of the body in Chicago, her ashes will be brought here for interment in the Winterset cemetery. Short funeral services will be conducted at the cemetery by the Rev. Howard L. Strong.
