FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR HELEN D. FRY

The funeral service was held at the Friends church at Earlham on Saturday afternoon, July 5, with S. C. Welch, funeral director, and L. Willard Reynolds, pastor of the local church in charge. Music was furnished by the church choir. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.

Her home for a number of years welcomed three nephews, Charles, Earl and John Hutchison, who loved her as a second mother.

A host of friends, not only in Madison and Dallas counties, knew and loved her, but through farm tours and other activities both east and west she garnered many more acquaintances. The great number of greeting cards from far and near received during her six months illness bespeak her wide circle of friends. For these and innumerable kindnesses by neighbors and friends the family wish to express their deep appreciation.

On the eve of July 2, Helen slipped away from her world of flowers, music, friends and loved ones here, to share in the Choir Invisible in the Garden of her Lord.

Besides her husband she leaves her mother, Mrs. Walter Ramsey of Earlham, two sisters, Hilda Neff of Flushing, Michigan, and Lois Barr of Winterset, several uncles and aunts, and a number of nephews and nieces.

“Like a ship that has left its moorings
And sailed bravely out to sea,
So some one dear has sailed away
In calm serenity
But there’s promise of a greater joy
Than earth could have in store,
For God has planned a richer life
Beyond the unseen shore”
