Winterset, IowaJOHN EIVINS DIED TUESDAY AT 88 YEARS
Former Resident of Near Macksburg Passed in Des Moines
John Eivins, member of a well known Madison county family, died at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines Tuesday after a brief illness. He was 88 years of age.
Most of Mr. Eivins active life was spent in the Macksburg community, where he farmed for 37 years. Prior to coming there he had lived in Clarke and Union counties. The past four years he had made his home in Winterset.
He is survived by three brothers, W. J. Eivins of Winterset and I. N. and E. C. Eivins of Macksburg; and two sisters, Alice Eivins and Mrs. F. C. Bates.
Funeral arrngements had not been made as the Madisonian went to press.
(Burial was made in the Moon cemetery)
