Patrick Murphy died at his home Friday evening, January 26, at 7:30 o'clock. He had been ill for several months, but his condition became suddenly serious just a few hours before his death.
Mr. Murphy was born on January 15, 1882 in Black Hawk county, Iowa. His parents were Patrick and Elizabeth Murphy. He was 58 years old at the time of his death.
He was married to Fonnie Richter in September 1919 and had made their home in Earlham for the past fourteen years. He had been employed by the Standard Manufacturing Co., of Cedar Falls, for the past 25 years.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and step-son, Fritz Richter of Los Angeles, California; two sisters at Waterloo; a half sister at Dougherty and a half brother at Traer.
Rev. Reece conducted the services. Burial was made at Panora.
