JAMES WHEELER DIES

St. Charles (Special) --Oct. 1.--

Mrs. Maude Wheeler received the sad news last week of the death of her oldest son, James, at Anchorage, Alaska where he was engaged as a carpenter, working on large buildings for a government construction company. His death followed an operation for ulcers of the stomach. He was 46 years old, and his wife and four children live in Grundy Center, where burial will be made, but it is thought it will require almost a month to bring the body back. He is one of a family of thirteen children, and the first to be called by death.
