DEATH OF POWELL CHILD

Six-Month-Old Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Powell Died Last Week

Nellie Darlene Powell, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Powell of Norwalk, died at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines June 4 after an illness of about four weeks. She was six months old.

The child was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Powell and Mrs. Avis Hild of Winterset. She was born Nov. 22, 1838, the daughter of Earl and Daisy Berry Powell.

The child's illness was of about a month's duration and she had been in the hospital since May 27.

She is survived by her father and mother and one sister, Mildred Jean.

Funeral services were held from the Galaway funeral home at Norwalk, June 5, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
