DEATH OF MRS. G. C. PACE

Mrs. G. C. Pace died Saturday, April 14th, at the age of 78 years. She was the former Trasha Emily Moore, daughter of T. L. and Sarah Moore and was born in this county January 20, 1856. She spent the early years of her life, with her parents, on a farm in Lincoln township. Her marriage to G. C. Pace, took place September 22, 1873 and they were the parents of eight children. Four of them have previously died. She leaves two daughters Mrs. Frank Harrison and Chesela Pace, and two sons, Robert B. and Byron Pace, all of Winterset. She also is survived by nine grandchildren.

The Rev. A. R. Weed, assisted by the Rev. Fred W. Madson conducted her services Monday afternoon, April 16th at three o’clock, at the Tidrick Funeral home, and burial was in the Hooten cemetery.

Mrs. George Pace Dies

Mrs. George Pace, 78, lifelong resident of Madison county, died at the home of her son Burns Pace, in Winterset, Saturday morning.

Funeral services were held at Tidrick’s funeral home Monday afternoon, Rev. Fred W. Madison of the Baptist church officiating.

Mrs. Pace was a sister of Eph and William Moore, and was the last one of the seven children of the old pioneer Moore family that lived in Lincoln township. She was born in Madison county. She was the mother of eight children, four of them surviving her, and all living in Madison county. Mr. and Mrs. Pace have lived at Middle River for a good many years, but in winter time have lived with Burns Pace in Winterset.
