St. Charles Funeral For Gertrude Cason

Funeral services for Gertrude L. Cason were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Pierce Funeral Home in Erie, Kansas.

Mrs. Cason, the daughter of Milton I. and Catharine Bean was born February 4, 1871 in St. Charles, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to James A. Cason on January 22, 1889. She was a longtime member of the Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Ness City, Kansas.

Surviving are two children, a daughter, Mrs. L. B. Herod of Walnut, Kansas and a son, Wrensel T. Cason of Englewood, Colo., three grandchildren and six great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Louie Picken of St. Charles, Ia., and Mrs. Jennie Williams of Knoxville, Ia., four brothers, William H. Bean of Harvey, Ia., A. V. Bean of Patterson, Ia., J. D. Bean of Chicago, Ill., and G. A. Bean of Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Cason was a resident of the Bryant Rest Home in Chanute, Kansas at the time of her death.
