Madison Township Farmer, 41, Succumbs to Illness At Hospital In Iowa City
Herm Palmer, 41, Madison township farmer, died early Monday at the hospital in Iowa City where he had gone several weeks ago for treatment.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Earlham Methodist church. The service was in charge of Rev. Hugh S. Mitchell, pastor. Interment was in the Earlham cemetery.
OBITUARY
Herm Palmer, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Palmer was born in Jefferson township, Madison county, Iowa, May 24, 1895 and departed this life March 1, 1937 at the age of 41 years, nine months and four days.
He has spent over 33 years of his life on the same place in Madison township.
On June 20, 1918, he was united in marriage to Maude Doris Rankin. This home was blessed by two children - Wilbur Russell and Doris Marie.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife and children and his father and mother of Earlham, one brother, Floyd of De Soto, one sister, Hazel Wright of Winterset and a host of relatives and friends.
