Lee M. Diser, life long resident of Madison county died at the home of his brother, J. M. Diser on Saturday, July 21st, at the age of sixty years. Mr. Diser was the son of John F. and Sophia Woolhiser Diser, who were among the earliest settlers of Madison county. The family came here from Illinois. Mr. Diser was born, July 14, 1874. He never married and spent his entire life in Jefferson township. He became ill in January and has been in failing health since that time.
Two brothers and one sister survive him: J. M. Diser and C. F. Diser of Booneville and Mrs. Sarah Pritchard of Valley Junction.
The Rev. W. C. Porter pastor of the Winterset United Presbyterian church conducted his funeral service Monday afternoon, July 23, at the home of his brother, J. M. Diser in Jefferson township. Burial was made in the Jefferson Center United Brethren cemetery.

Lee M. Diser, a life-long resident of Madison county died at his home south of Van Meter, at 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, July 21st. Mr. Diser had been in poor health about six months, never seeming able to recover from an illness he had in the winter. He was born in Jefferson township, Madison county, on July 14, 1874 and died within three miles of his birthplace.
He is survived by two brothers, John M. and Charles F. with whom he made his home, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Pritchard of Valley Junction, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held Monday afternoon at the home, conducted by the Rev. Porter of the United Presbyterian church in Winterset. Burial was at the Union Chapel cemetery.
