WM. HUGLIN TAKES HIS OWN LIFE

Wealthy Farmer of Crawford township is Crazed by Suffering and Blows His Brains out with a Shotgun

Wm. Huglin, a wealthy farmer living two miles north of Bevington, suicided last Saturday by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun. About a year and a half ago, Huglin was bitten by a fly from which blood poisoning ensued. The disease was arrested but appeared again about three weeks ago. He suffered intensely night and day and this drove him to the desperate act which ended his life. Shortly afternoon on Saturday he secured a shotgun and going to the bed room, fired the contents into his mouth, causing instant death.

He was a man highly respected in the community and his tragic death is deeply regretted by his neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held at Blair Chapel on Monday.
