DEATH OF G. W. STALTERS

George W. Stalters, well known resident of the St. Charles community, died July 24. He was 78 years old.

Mr. Stalters was born July 4, 1856, in Wyandotte county, Ohio. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Stalters. With his parents he emigrated to Iowa in 1879. He was married in 1892 to Miss Rhoda Huston, and they were the parents of one daughter and four sons. Two of the latter, John R. and Clarence W., preceded him in death.

Mr. Stalters was affiliated with the Masonic lodge of St. Charles.

The deceased is survived by his wife, the daughter, Mrs. Ernest Strable of St. Charles, two sons, George R. Stalters and Clarion D. Stalters of near Lacona, a sister, Mrs. Sarah Hardy of Patterson, and 18 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Blair Chapel, July 25, with the Rev. L. W. Nixon of St. Charles in charge. Burial was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
