Thursday, June 21, 1934Death of Arthelia Berry
Arthelia Berry, daughter of Reuben and Sarah E. Kingery, was born at Monroe, Marion county, Iowa, April 18, 1969, and died at her home in Lorimor June 5, 1934, aged 65 years, one month and 17 days.
She moved with her parents to Madison county near Kasson where she grew to womanhood and married Lewis J. Berry and resided in this community until the time of his death in 1922. Survivors are three sons, Elmer R. of Macon, Missouri, Henry and Guy of Lorimor; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Charles of Kimball, South Dakota; Ira and Amos of Lorimor and R. G. of Albia; two sisters, Martha Berry of Lorimor and Mrs. Permelia Alexander, a twin sister of Winterset.
Funeral services were conducted from the Fellowship church by Rev. E. F. Thompson June 7, at 11 o’clock and burial was in the family lot in the Hamlin cemetery beside her husband.
