Four-Year-Old Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Price Passed Away Wednesday at Mercy Hospital.
After staging a valiant battle to regain his health and steadily losing ground during the final stages of his illness, Master Bruce Price passed away at ten o’clock Wednesday morning in the Mercy hospital at Des Moines. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Price and observed his fourth birthday in September.
Bruce was taken ill with pneumonia on December 31. His condition became steadily more serious until Monday evening of this week, when on advice of specialists he was taken to the Des Moines hospital. Here it was revealed that nothing could be done to relieve his suffering and the little patient passed away a few hours later.
Funeral services for the deceased will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon from the Presbyterian church. Burial will be in the cemetery here.

The funeral services for little Bruce Price was held Friday afternoon at the Presbyterian church. Rev. W. C. Porter of Winterset and Rev. Feay of Earlham had charge of the services. Rev. Feay gave a very lovely talk about his small playmate. Mrs. Harry Foster and daughter Mrs. Robert Godby with Miss Ethel McKray at the piano furnished the music.
Bruce Gray Price, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Price was born September 1929 and passed away at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines on January 10, 1934, at the age of 4 years and 3 months. Besides his mother and father he leaves one brother Billy, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Clements and a host of other relatives and friends. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery with Elbert Honeycutt, John Urquhart, Gladstone Foster and Glen Griswold acting as pallbearers. Flowerbearers were Judith and Janice Junkin, Charlene and Opal Jackson and Rosalie and Grace Ralston. Out of town relatives present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Duff of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hayes of Winterset and Mrs. Mable Cacharias of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Bruce Price, who has been very ill with pneumonia was taken to the Mercy hospital in Des Moines the first of the week where he passed away on Wednesday morning. Bruce was taken ill on December 31 and steadily grew worse in spite of all that medical aid could do. Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the Presbyterian church.
