Mrs. Lillie May Cline Dies

Mrs. Lillie May Cline, a life-long resident of Winterset, died at her home here last Thursday after being ill three weeks with pneumonia, which was complicated two days before her death by a stroke of paralysis. She was 72 years of age.

Mrs. Cline was the daughter of Lewis and Christina Thornburg and was born in Winterset on June 3, 1863. She was united in marriage to Dodge Cline on November 20, 1884. She was a graduate of the public schools of Winterset and taught school in Madison county for several years.

Mr. and Mrs. Cline united with the Church of Christ here in 1885. Her entire life was centered in her home and in the church. Mr. Cline died last year.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sophia Boyd of Columbus, Nebraska; three daughters, Mrs. Amy Ragan of Mitchellville, Mrs. Verna Shoemaker of Montana and Mrs. Florence Simpson of Winterset; a son, Earl Cline of Dubuque, as well as nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home last Saturday. The Rev. H. L. Olmstead of the Church of Christ was in charge. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
