MRS. SCOTT SMITH OF DESOTO DIED JAN. 18

Mrs. Scott Smith of DeSoto died Tuesday, Jan. 18 at a Des Moines hospital. She was 67 years of age.

Mrs. Smith was the former Iva Chloe Allen. She was married July 9, 1906, to Scott Smith, in Des Moines. For several years they had lived in Madison county, near DeSoto.

Surviving are her husband; seven children, Glen Smith of Des Moines, Mrs. Doris Nuckolls of Earlham, Mrs. Ethel Travis of Grand Junction, Mrs. Edith Brower of Adel, Mrs. Mary Wahlert of Earlham, Carl Smith of Des Moines, and Merl D. Smith of Adel. She also leaves a brother, Frank Allen of Long Lane, Mo., a sister, Mrs. Edna Rogers of Adel, 25 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
