WILLIAM E. KIVETT DIES AT VAN WERT

Native of Near Macksburg Died Thursday at Age of 68 Years

William E. Kivett died last Thursday Jan. 24, at his home near Van Wert at the age of 68 years.

Mr. Kivett was a native of Madison county, where he was born May 20, 1888, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Kivett. He was married to Mary Busch on Sept. 5, 1917. They were parents of two daughters, the present Mrs. Ferne Heckathorne of Osceola and Mrs. Lela Moore of Des Moines.

As a young man he joined the Wesley Chapel Methodist church near Macksburg, later transferred his membership to Van Wert.

In addition to his two daughters, he leaves his wife; one grandchild; two brothers, Eugene Kivett, Clint and Lee Kivett of Macksburg; and two sisters, Anna Kivett of Macksburg and Mrs. Gene Silverthorne of Perris, California.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Van Wert Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. William Miller, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Wilkens. Burial was made in the Van Wert cemetery.
