Death of Miss Anna Grismer

Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Grismer were called to Nora Springs Tuesday morning by a telegram stating that their only daughter, Miss Anna had died at midnight of influenza. She was ill at Christmas time, but seemed to pass the crisis satisfactorily and her parents' anxiety was relieved by her convalescence. She has been teaching ancient history and music in the year and her death away from home unattended by Mr. and Mrs. Grismer has brought deep sadness to a large circle of friends of the Grismers, who thus lose their only child.

Burial will take place in Mitchellville, where the family lived before moving to Winterset. Miss Anna was a young school girl when she took up residence here, graduating from our high school, then attended Rockford seminary, where she prepared for her chosen profession as a teacher. She was a thorough student, bringing to her work a deep interest, fixed purpose and love of knowledge. She delighted in the arts and spent much time in the study of dramatic reading and music, in both lines displaying much talent.

To Mr. and Mrs. Grismer has come an overwhelming grief and in this hour of trial the united sympathy of this community will go out to them.
