Walter John, son of Will J Eisele and Minnie Jantzen Eisele was born December 26, 1889 at Malcom, Iowa, Poweshiek County and passed away at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Ia. March 21, 1965 after a lingering illness.
At the age of 9 years he moved with his parents from Malcom to a farm near Earlham, Iowa. His education was received in the Malcom and Earlham public schools.
On January 4, 1912 he was married to Frances Cade of DeSoto, Iowa. They made their home on a farm south of Earlham, later moving to a farm south of Stuart where he resided until his death. Mr. and Mrs. Eiseel (Eisele) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an Open House in 1962.
Walter joined the Presbyterian Church in Earlham at an early age. He was a member of the Masonic Order in Earlham and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Earlham, later transferring to the Stuart Lodge.
Walter was well known in this area and had worked at the Adel Sales Barn some 20 years. He also served on the elected board from his township for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Survived by his wife, Frances, one brother, Fred Eisele of Lakewood, California and one sister, Edna Moore of Earlham, Iowa. Also several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
