JOHN FRANKLIN HENRY

John Franklin Henry, son of Emanuel and Malinda Henry, was born on June 13, 1876, in Jackson Township, Madison Co., Iowa, and passed away November 19, 1966 at his home, having reached the age of 90 years, 5 months and 6 days. He had been in ailing health for the past few months.

He attended Early Chapel church in his youth and in later years enjoyed religious programs on his radio. He made his home with his sister, Lucinda, who preceded him in death. He then lived with his nephew and wife, Mr and Mrs Orville Henry, on the same farm where he was born and lived his lifetime. His lifetime was spent on the farm where he took pride in raising Angus cattle.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his one sister, Miss Lucinda Henry, who died at the age of 91; and his brother, Charles W. Henry, who passed away at the age of 90.

He is survived by one brother, Mr Benjamin S Henry, of Winterset; and a number of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his brother, and his nephew, Orville Henry, who had made a home for him these many years.
