GLENN CLAGUE

Glenn Clague was born October 18, 1893, at Earlham. He was the seventh of nine children of Thomas and Mary Clague, who were members of the Worthington Methodist church. His father was a native of the Isle of Man, who had come to this land in 1873.

Glenn married Hazel Bell of Patterson, Iowa, on July 6, 1921, in Indianola. They lived in the Worthington community, and were blessed with three children, all of whom were members of Worthington church until their destinies took them out of the community.

Glenn was taken from this life by his death at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 1966. At the time, he was in the Madison County Memorial hospital, where he spent the last days of his 10-year battle against the malignancy which took him. All members of his immediate family were present at the time of his passing.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers: Arnold, Charles, Evert, and Willis.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel, and by their three children. The son, Thomas E. is the oldest, and he and his wife, Ann, have four children: Karen, 14; Brian 12, Candace 9, and Kevin 7. They live in Owatonna, Minn. The older daughter, Mary Belle, and her husband, Charles W. Day, Jr have two children: Pamela, 18, and Bradley, 13. They live in Knoxville, Iowa. The youngest daughter, Ruth, and her husband, W. Dean Jones, have two children: Paula, 11, and Maria, 6. They live in Merriam, Kansas.

Glenn is also survived by two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Frank Stanley of Winterset; Mrs. B. F. Hamilton of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Edgar and Ralph Clague of Winterset.
