ENID BROWN, Washington, Iowa

Enid Arlene Brown, 87, formerly of Fairfield and Winterset, died March 12, 2007, at the Halcyon House in Washington, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Visitation with the family present will be held prior to the memorial service, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Enid Brown was born July 22, 1919, to Edwin and Tabitha (Justice) Ames of Afton and was a graduate of Afton High School. Her marriage to Earl W. Brown took place Nov. 18, 1945, in Afton. Enid, a homemaker, and her family resided in Winterset before moving to Fairfield in 1968. In 2002, she and her husband moved to Washington, Iowa. Enid was a member of P.E.O. and TTT.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda D. Brown of Washington, Iowa; one son, Martin E. Brown of New York, N.Y.; and a sister, Bernita Siddens of Afton.
