Theodore Courter DeLong died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines on January 13th, 1935. He was 68 years old.
Mr. DeLong was born January 11, 1867, in Clarke County, near Prairie Grove. He was the son of William and Rhoda DeLong. He was married July 5, 1890 to Eva Jones. They were the parents of three sons and three daughters.
In addition to his wife, Mr. DeLong is survived by the following children: George DeLong of St. Charles, Harry DeLong of near Peru, Mrs. Fae Ritchhart of Orient, and Mrs. Flossie Patterson, Mrs. Effie Husted, and V. L. DeLong of Truro.
He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Mae Jones of Cooper, Iowa, Mrs. Ella Ellis of Marysville, Missouri, and Mrs. Retta Cooper of Truro.
Funeral services were held in the M. E. church January 15 in charge of the Rev. I. G. Randels, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Moore. Burial was in Field's cemetery.
