Robert Wayne Kirscher, 61, of Winterset died January 23, 2001 of an aneurysm at Metropolitan Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services are today (Jan. 26) at 1:30 p.m. at Ochiltree Funeral Service and Aftercare in Winterset. Pastor Alberta Ervin of the Worthington United Methodist Church will officiate the services and burial will follow at Booneville Cemetery.

He was born November 21, 1939 in rural Madison County to Elmer Charles and Phyllis Larens (McNair) Kirscher. He was a 1958 graduate of Earlham High School and a lifetime resident of Winterset and Madison County. He was a United States Navy veteran and had worked as a farmer and farmhand until the late 1980's when he was forced to retire due to his Muscular Dystrophy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Surviving relatives include one brother Gerald Kirscher of Winterset; one nephew Brian Kirscher and one niece Monica Kirscher, both of Lorimor and three great-nephews.
