SUSAN DEVINE, 89 DIED HERE FRIDAY

Susan Devine, a long-time resident of Winterset, died Friday, Jan. 7 at the Peterson nursing home here. She was 89 years of age.

Miss Devine was a native of Wisconsin, where she was born at Fond du Lac on Jan. 6, 1866, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. --- Devine. She came to this county with her parents early in life, and lived near DeSoto before moving into Winterset.

Miss Devine never married, and her nearest surviving relatives are a niece, Doris Van Meter, of Casper, Wyo., and three nephews, Roy, Arch and Earl Church all of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Anderson home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the DeSoto cemetery.
