HENRY W. KILE, 82 DIED LAST FRIDAY

Had Been Resident of Scott Township Since 1900

Henry W. Kile, a resident of Scott township since 1900, died at his home southeast of Winterset last Friday, after an illness of several weeks. He was 82 years of age.

Mr. Kile was a life-long resident of Iowa. He was born in Benton county on Nov. 16, 1857, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Kile. They had come to Iowa from Pennsylvania the preceding year. Henry Kile grew to manhood in Benton county, and was married to Maria F. Whitcomb. They came to Madison county in 1900, settling in Scott township.

Mr. Kile united with the Methodist church in 1887, which he attended as long as his health permitted.

Mr. Kile's wife died in 1930. Nearest surviving relatives are his three children: a daughter, Almena, at home, and two sons, Paul Kile of Winterset, and Eugene C. Kile of San Fernando, Cal.

Funeral services were held from the Tidrick funeral home in Winterset last Sunday, in charge of the Rev. J. R. McNichols, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
