Eugene Eyerly Killed While on Hunting Trip

Eugene Eyerly, 22-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Eyerly, formerly of Madison county, was found shot to death Tuesday of last week near Meeker, Colo., where he had been hunting.

Young Eyerly had been hunting Monday with a party of five, including his father. When he failed to return to the hunting camp that evening an all night search was made for him. The body was not found until next morning. It appeared that he had been shot by other hunters.

The young man was a grandson of Mrs. Clara B. Eyerly of Winterset. His uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Thomas and a cousin, Gerald Thomas of Winterset, attended the funeral services in Colorado.
